“So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.” John 19:30 On Good Friday, we remember that Jesus’ final words on the cross declare that His sacrifice was sufficient to atone for the sins of humanity, and there was nothing more needed to be done. The Greek word for "it is finished" is "tetelestai," which is a declaration of victory and completion! Thanks be to God!
